The TROPO is a manual rain gauge that meets the accuracy and specification requirements of CoCoRaHS and NOAA. CoCoRaHS is an abbreviation for the US-based 'Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network in the USA.
The TROPO Rain Gauge uses a dual cylinder design to measure precipitation but readings need to be taken daily and the gauge should then be emptied. The inner cylinder and funnel cap are removable to allow for catchment of snowfall or other frozen precipitation.
